Shopping for furniture in Mexico can be a daunting and risky task. That is why we built Gringo Furniture 3.5 years ago on a solid and honest foundation.

Since our conception we have grown and improved. It has not always been an easy road for us but we have always stood behind everything we have sold.

During the past 3.5 years we have had some really wonderful suppliers and we have had some problems with others.

They Established a Company based in Canada to sell Furniture to Americans and Canadians buying houses in Mexico, acting just as intermediaries between us and you, having a 100% profit.

Is fare, everybody can earn as much as they can, what is not fare is pushing us to down our prices and get discounts not given by us.

We had problems with them because they wanted to put price to our Furniture and pay when they wanted our Furniture, these affects us and our craftsmen because if our Furniture is not fare payed, we do not have a fare profit and we are not able to give good salaries to our craftsmen.

We had a bad communication with these people, we were supposed to manufacture and supply Furniture to them and we had to do all the job, as:

Find for them cheap freights, find Mattresses manufacturers, find fridges, plasma TV, etc. paying nothing for these and making us responsible and making us paying if there was a problem with these items not even manufactured by us, we also had to pay if there was a damaged furniture because freight people did not take care if it, we asked them to pay an insurance but they did not and we had to pay for damages not caused by us, so that is why we decided to sell direct to people as you, now we have a better profit and you save big money taking out of the game this intermediary that earns money from you and us staying at home doing nothing and now lieing talking bad about us.

Recently, one of the suppliers who we dropped in December created a web site and are now advertising they will furnish homes in Mexico. They advertise a HUGE savings for you to purchase from them. They have taken photos off of our web site and used them on their web site. Many of the pieces they say they can make they have never actually made.

Those are totally lies, first of all they did not dropped us, we decided not selling more to them because we had troubles about payment, prices and policies, every photo of furniture in our website has been manufactured by us, we have almost all our pieces with photos token step by step, from when a piece of Furniture is unfinished to when is finished, click here to see some samples and yes, we give you HUGE savings from the prices they can give to you, they just can not compete with us, we are Furniture Manufacturers, not intermediaries.

We at Their company name know that they will not survive for very long and therefore are not threatened by their presence. However, we are concerned for people who think going to them will save them money. The fact is, people risk losing any money they send if they use them.

More lies, we export our Furniture and sell 80% of our production to clients in USA and Europe, we already have our clients so we survive and we do it because of our quality and service, we sell Furniture to wholesalers, to Furniture stores and to Interior designers, we are supported by them, so if necessary, we can put you in contact with some of our American clients as our references, the only beneficiary about this new website will be you our craftsmen and us.

To protect our customers we frequently visit our factories. In December 2008 Gringo Furniture dropped this factory as a supplier during one of our surprise inspections. We found termites in all the wood they had stored. The absolute filth and disorganization of the factory was unacceptable. Their credibility with us was compromised when we caught them in several lies about the quality of products used. They were not the kind of factory we wanted working for our customers. We are only as good as our suppliers are.

Lies again, we buy our Lumber from providers in USA and Canada, we do this because the mills we buy from are ISO providers, all lumber is Kiln Dried and well dimensioned, USA and Canada forests are well developed and are not deforested countries, Mexico is loosing forest each year and is one of the most deforested countries in the world, we can send you photos of the wood we are using and we will place photos of our facilities in a couple of days.

We understand we are not the only game in town and we fully realize we can not fill everyone's needs and wants. However, we feel it is our duty to warn potential neighbours and friends from purchasing from this unscrupulous company.

If you are considering going to another provider please email us first and we will send you the link to this site to make sure they are not the ones you are buying from. We take no offense to anyone's choice in provider, we just want everyone to enjoy their new homes in Mexico and not experience the problems we experienced with this supplier.
